On August 5th, at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, Abel Ferrara received the Pardo d’Onore for his career. He then started to sing a couple of songs for the crowd. Unfortunately, the rain was pouring down and he wouldn’t stop playing.
The audience started booing him after 15 minutes, under the nervous glance of the festival director, Olivier Père. People just wanted to watch the movies they had paid to see on the giant screen of the Piazza Grande. Ferrara finally left the stage after about 20 minutes of his “private” concert.
